Volunteer Information

Overview & description of Madidi Travel

Madidi Travel is an organization dedicated to conservation and sustainable tourism within the Madidi Mosiac. We believe tourism can greatly aid conservation efforts if done in a responsible and sustainable manner. 100% of our profits go back to conservation work and empowering local communities. We offer tours inside Serere Reserve, where one of the best eco- lodges of the country is based. You will be based in our office in the friendly town of Rurrenabaque, where hammocks are the way of life.

About the Volunteer Program

We are looking for volunteers who are committed to help us. The work involves helping with marketing, administration, sales of tourist packages, with the preparation and the arrival of the boat, food preparation, giving information, maintenance, repair of furniture and some desk jobs. Special projects depending on volunteers’ talents can be developed with the previous approval of the management.

Fees/Costs

The volunteer program is free, but you must cover your own food and lodging. We can help find you a cheap place to stay (from 20Bs night) and you can use the office kitchen to cook your own food. As a compensation of your work you can spend time in Serere eco-lodge.
